The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Northwest Regional Office, intends to solicit/award a sole source, firm fixed price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, to Alligare/Phoenix Environmental Design, Inc. Alligare is the manufacturer and Phoenix Environmental is the sole authorized dealer/ distributor of the required supplies in the region near Wapato, WA. The line item description appears below and on the attached SF1449. The requirement is for Magnacide H (aquatic herbicide for irrigation /canal application). The NAICS is 325230 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. A 2,450-lb. sized skid and 370-lb. cylinder are required for ease and efficiency of application. A brand name justification for Alligare brand applies to all line items in this solicitation/resulting order because this is the only product approved by the Yakama Nation to be applied to land on Yakama Reservation land.
