The ODNR, Division of Wildlife is seeking contractors to conduct dike maintenance/stabilization at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. The wildlife area is located in Benton, Carrol and Jerusalem Townships within Ottawa and Lucas Counties. The lake front dike, barrier berm that protects the marsh from effects of Lake Erie, has sustained damage during the recent high-water cycle and past storm events. The damage includes the loss of protective barrier beach ridge and dislodged the existing riprap. For this project we are focusing on stabilizing approximately 500 linear feet of the lake front dike by creating a 4:1 slope utilizing stockpiled type “C” riprap.  Site visits are highly encouraged. Please contact Patrick Baranowski at 419-345-9393 to schedule a site visit.
