0001 - All Inclusive Base Bid: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete Project 607-18-108 “Renovate 4B” for Inpatient Ward at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI. Work includes but is not limited to: renovations (demolition and construction) to approximately 10,000 sq ft of space on the Fourth floor of B-Wing, associated work in mechanical rooms located on 5B and will also include coordinated work on 3B to accomplish require plumbing connections. Work also includes but is not limited to: coordination of subcontractors including, demolition; hazardous material removal and disposal; carpentry; interior finishes, window and door installations; pneumatic tube system modifications, patient lift installations, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection; new air handling unit; HVAC ductwork, piping and controls, electrical power and lighting, intercom, CCTV, nurse call, fire alarm and security systems, and telecommunications. 0002 – Alternate Bid Item #1: Furnish and install all work as described in the Bid Item 0001 All Inclusive Base Bid except: REPLACE the room layout as described on page A101, Detail 1 / New Work Plan, outlined as “Alternate” 2/A101 between column lines 25 and 26; WITH the New Work Plan Deductive Alternate room layout as described on Details 2 & 3 on the same page. Place all related utilities noted as Alternate for the same area in the drawings that follow. 0003 – Alternate Bid Item#2: Furnish and install all work as described in the Bid Item 0002 – Deductive Bid Total #1 except: As notated as “Alternate Bid” on headwall elevations on pages A402, A403 and in the Med Gas Outlet Schedule on MG104, ELIMINATE the pre-manufactured headwalls for all patient rooms and place the same quantity of utilities originally scheduled in the headwalls to be individually recessed in the drywall. The contractor shall provide the individual back boxes and new outlets to be recessed in the walls. The utilities include: electrical receptacles, data jacks, nurse call, and med gas wall outlets.
