The State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration, on behalf of the Department of Public Instruction, request Bids for the processing of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Bulk Cheese, Natural American FDB Barrel, USDA Foods Material ID Code #110242 (“Bulk Cheese”) into Macaroni and Cheese and intends to use the results of this process to award a Contract. The USDA provides the Bulk Cheese, Natural American FDB Barrel, which shall be processed into Macaroni and Cheese. The State of Wisconsin expects this Bid to result in procuring the best Product passing the student taste tests at the lowest Total Price per serving. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Distribution Program provides USDA Foods to eligible Recipient Agencies (RAs) including schools, Residential Child Care Institutions, and Summer Food Service Programs and other USDA food assistance programs. The Product shall be offered and distributed to all Wisconsin schools participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) that receive USDA Foods. This includes both public and private schools. In addition, participants in the Summer Food Service Program may receive this Product as well.
