This public announcement is being issued as required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, dated May 29, 2003. The National Park Service announces the conversion of it's A-76 cost comparison study for providing Archeological and Collection Management Services at the Southeast Archeological Center (SEAC), Tallahassee, Florida to an A-76 Streamlined competition. The purpose of the competition is to determine whether Archeology and Collection Management Services at SEAC will be performed by Federal Government or by a private source. The work is currently performed by 45 National Park Service staff positions. The National Park Service shall determine the cost for performing the activity using documented market research. There will be no solicitation issued. The National Park Service expects to complete the streamlined study by September 23, 2003. As required by the Circular, the following additional information is provided: the agency is the Department of Interior and the Competitive Sourcing Official for the Department is Lynn Scarlett; the Contracting Officer responsible for this study is Sonya Armstrong and the Agency Tender Official is George S.
