Availability of a prospectus for solicitation of offers to operate commercial visitor services at Buck Island Reef National Monument located in the U.S. Virgin Islands on St. Croix in the town of Christiansted. CC-BUIS001-XX - Interpretive scheduled tour boat services between St. Croix and BUIS, guided snorkeling and scuba tours of BUIS. Gross revenues over the past three years have averaged approximately $340,000 annually. Term of Contract Proposed: 5 years Franchise Fee: The minimum fee will be 4% of annual gross receipts. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR 51, has determined that this a qualified contract, within the meaning regarding determination of a preferred offeror, because gross receipts are not expected to be greater than $500,000 in the first year of the contract. Therefore, there is a preferred offeror for this contract and all offers will be evaluated according to the terms set forth in the Prospectus. Offers must be received by close of business at 4:00 p.m. on August 1, 2005. The Prospectus will explain the business opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract, the proposal instructions, and the proposal package (including the selection factors).
