The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Luminex Corporation, 12212 Technology Boulevard, Austin, TX 78727, for the following requirements: 1) Microplex Microspheres Region #50, Catalog #LC100050-01, quantity of 18; 2) Microplex Microspheres Region #57, Catalog #LC100057-01, quantity of 27; 3) Microplex Microspheres #64, Catalog #LC100064-01, quantity of 27; 4) Microplex Microspheres #88, Catalog #LC100088-01, quantity of 27, and 5) Microplex Microspheres #99, Catalog #LC100099-01, quantity of 27. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only Luminex Corporation will satisfy the Agency's requirement because this is the only vendor that can provide proprietary reagents that are compatible with the existing Luminex XMAP reader. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
