Special Notice. Naval Medical Center San Diego, Material Management-Acquisition intends to award a sole source purchase order to DePuy Synthes Sales Inc. for a L5/S1 ProDisc - Anterior Lumbar Spine Fusion product that provide patients the necessary spinal fusion that fits their SPECIFIC needs; instrumentation and implants must 1. Meet California Compliance, 2. Must have a modular bilateral retractor to accommodate patient anatomy, and 3. The implant must have a carbon fiber reinforced Titanium inter-body device for use at the Naval Medical Center San Diego Neurosurgery Department, 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source. It is the Government's belief that the proposed candidate is the only provider of the needed Anterior Lumbar Spine Fusion product that fits the Neurosurgery Department specific needs.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any business that believes it can provide the needed Anterior Lumbar Spine Fusion product that fits the Neurosurgery Department specific needs may give written notice to [email protected] by 20 April 2016. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
