This presolicitation notice is being posted in advance of final Solicitation No. M67854-13-R-5018. Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to procure Compressed Air Units intended to interchange with and replace those currently installed on the Lube Units, Power Operated (LUPO) modernized Diesel Powered Air Compressor (DPAC) for the current United States Marine Corps (USMC) inventory.

 The DPAC is intended to supply compressed air for the operation of pneumatic pumps and the inflation of tires and electrical power for the operation of a crane and lighting. It is intended to be interchangeable with the current DPAC within the LUPO. The DPAC will operate on both JP-8 and diesel fuel, providing for simultaneous supply of compressed air and electricity, operable without an air tank, not exceeding 870 lbs., generating sound of no more than 70 dB, and operating at least 8 hrs. without refueling.


The forthcoming solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside and will include all instructions for offerors to follow when submitting a proposal.

The solicitation will be issued as a commercial procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 guidelines. The NAICS code will be 333912. This is a Presolicitation Notice only; no proposals are being requested at this time. Information contained in this notice is subject to change.

Contract Type: The Government anticipates issuing a single award but reserves the right to make multiple awards. We anticipate an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) commercial contract(s) to the successful offeror (s) whose proposal submission is determined to be the best value described in FAR 15.101-1.

Period of Performance: The Government anticipates a period of performance shall be a total of 60 months after the date of contract award with one (1) base year and four (4) ordering periods of 12 months each.
