The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions and to include a Brand Name Justification and Approval(J&A) for LSCAN Guardian(see attached brand name J&A).

Question 1: How many delivery locations?
Answer 1: There are 20 difference locations. One of the locations has a requirement for 2 which makes the total 21. See Attachment A of the solicitation.

Question 2: Will these items be drop shipped directly to each location? If so I will need the email addresses and phone #'s of each of the recipients
Answer 2: The email addresses will be provided at the time of award. Phone numbers are included.

Question 3: Is this just for the fingerprint scanner hardware or is software required to run the scanners as well?
Answer 3: It is only for the hardware.

Question 4: Will the Executive office for United States Attorneys accept bids for comparable systems to the LSCAN, or do they have to be LSCANS to be able to participate in this bid?
Answer 4: No, comparable equipment will not be accepted. The 93 U.S. Attorney offices use an internal DOJ fingerprinting application for its Civil Applicant System. Because this application is designed specifically for the LSCAN Guardian, it is not feasible for this small purchase to be for different brand equipment as it would make support inconsistent and require a new level of engineering effort.
