This Sources Sought is issued as part of Market Research to identify vendors to potentially establish a purchase order for the Maintenance, Inspection, and Repack of LRU-33/A AND LRU-34A Liferafts for MC-130J and CV-22 aircraft, at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom

Pricing/Payment Information

The US Government does not allow payment to be furnished to the vendor until the item has been delivered and accepted. Additionally, payment under US Government Contracts must be made by means of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT.) Vendors who wish to be considered for a purchase order shall be registered with SAM (System Acquisition Management) and WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow). Note that there is not an associated cost to register accounts under the aforementioned databases.

Description

The anticipated purchase order requires the Contractor to maintenance, inspection, and repack of 16 each LRU-33/A Life Rafts and 2 each LRU-34/A in accordance with the attached Statement of Work.

Delivery Information

The destination delivery location is RAF Mildenhall and will be designated FOB Destination. The contractor will be liable for any damage or costs incurred FOB Destination. The Contractor guarantees a thirty-day (30) Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) for all inducted retrograde assests.  This timeframe will be measured from the date the retrograde asset is received by the contractor until the repaired asset is made available for pickup in accordance with the 352 SOSS/A3T.

The following is requested from interested companies;

1. Please indicate if your company is willing/able to provide the specified maintenance, inspection, and repack of 16 each LRU-33/A Life Rafts and 2 each LRU-34/A in accordance with the attached Statement of Work.

2. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there any aspects that are unclear and/or do not allow a clear understanding of the US Government's requirements?

3. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there commercial industry practices that appear to differ greatly than what is being requested by the US Government under the anticipated, forthcoming solicitation/tender?
