USACE Buffalo District anticipates releasing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or around 24-July-2014 for Lorain Harbor East Breakwater Repair. This presolicitation notice is not a request for proposal or an invitation to bid.

The work shall include the repair of approximately 1000 LF of the Lorain East Breakwater that was damaged from Hurricane Sandy. Both ends of the wall (covering both sides of the wall) and 2 separate areas of the lake side will be repaired. The repair will entail placing bedding stone, under layer stone, and armor stone. No grading of the existing lake bottom will be required. In addition, due to this repair work covering an existing boat landing, a new boat landing (with an appropriate sign) will be installed at a location determined in the field.

This is anticipated to be a small business set-aside.
