Long IRSC Stewardship - Timber Sale/Service Contract with Mastication of Slash:
The Long stewardship project falls under the Jim Lewis Central Priority Project Area which was designed to reduce hazardous fuels on National Forest System lands, reduce the risk of insect and density related mortality, and reduce forest stand stocking levels to move toward a more historic pre-Euro-American stand structure.

In order to protect life, property, and natural resources, thinning of both saw timber and pulpwood 9"-24" DBH, and non-saw(biomass) trees -1"- 8"DBH, and mastication of activity generated slash and existing dead and down debris will be done through this contract.

The Government intends to award this as a stand-alone small business contract. The period of performance of this contract will be from award through 3 years IF all option periods are executed.
It is the responsibility of the awarded contractor to determine the level of effort necessary to satisfactorily perform the work of this contract.
The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, licenses, and certificates necessary to perform 336 acres of mastication within 60 days after receiving a Notification to Proceed.
