The US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Fort Bragg, NC intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Locate XT Software manufactured by Clearshark, LLC DBA ClearTerra, LLC located at 7030 Dorsey Road, Suite 102, Hanover, MD 21076. The solicitation is for 500 each single-use license for LocateXT software and maintenance for a base year and four 1-year option periods. The software will be installed in the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) that is utilized by Special Operation Forces (SOF) at the United States Army Special Operation Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The period of performance is for 5 years after delivery of the software. The LocateXT Software is the only extraction software that is authorized by the Department of the Army to be added to the SOF DCGS-A systems and that will continue to perform while disconnected. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NAICS code is 334611 with a size standard of 500 employees. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort in a full and open competition, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. This acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items.  Responses are due no later than 14 September 2012 by 2:00 PM EDT.
