Notice of Intent

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to make a sole source award to Verizon South, Inc. for Local Verizon Telephone Service for Sarasota, Florida. Verizon currently provides the support required to allow PBGC Customer Contact Center to transfer participants who require Tier 2 support to the Field Benefit Administration (FBA). Verizon South, Inc. must provide PBGC with of local dial tone and ISDN services that allow phone calls through the PBGC Private Branch Exchange (PBE). Verizon South, Inc. is the only authorized Local Exchange Carrier that provides last mile services for Local Telephone Service to PBGC's facility in Sarasota, FL.

The period of performance is for One Twelve Month Base Year and Four Twelve Month Option Years.

This is not a Request for Quotation, but a notice of Intent.  An RFQ will not be issued.  Interested parties may submit their capability statements for the required services to Judene Dayes at [email protected] no later than September 2, 2015, 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.  Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation will not reimburse any costs connected with providing the capability information.  Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice.
