This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to procure Maintenance of Lifepak Defibrillators in support personnel at Quantico Marine Corps Base, Virginia.  The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above services to the firm of Physio-Control, Inc.; 11811 Willows Road NE; P.O. Box 97006; Redmond, WA 98052.  The Proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DURATION: This requirement will be for one base year and two option years.  A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
