THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The AFNWC/PZIA Kirtland AFB, NM intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract to Physio-Control, for the purchase of a LifePak 15 and certified training, which are manufactured by Physio-Control, who owns proprietary data rights, provides training and design details of this product.

The 377th MSG/CEF requires the LifePak 15 because it will be compatible with all other components of emergency transport vehicles and local hospitals. It would be too costly to purchase multiples of other products that perform similar functions. Physio-Contorl has authorized distributors but they are (1) only authorized to sell products and do not provide any form of training on them and (2) they are prohibited in their contracts with Physio-Control to provide these items to professional entities such as Fire Departments and Hospitals where proper training is required to operate efficiently.

Anticipated date of award is 16 August 2013. The FSC Code is 4240, the NAICS Code is 334510 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within five business (5) days of this announcement.
