This announcement is considered market research in accordance with FAR Part 10.  The purpose of this synopsis is to identify qualified vendors capable of performance on solicitations similar to the requirements listed below.  Responses to this RFI are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.  Any information submitted is at the company's own expense.  The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of its response to the market survey.  Any information provided is voluntary.  All of the following information is approximate and may be altered in the actual solicitation. 

DLA Land and Maritime anticipates issuing a solicitation in the near future for approximately 12 EACH of 1680-01-271-8892.  It will be purchased I/A/W ALRE 80200 drawings, however, only approved sources will be evaluated for this procurement.  Manufacturers may review drawings and send a SAR Package to the Navy for future procurements.  The NAICS code for this item is 336413.   Drawings will not be available until solicitation posting.   However, if contractors are interested in viewing the drawings for this sources sought notice contact the buyer at [email protected] to request the drawing bidset. 

In addition, all interested parties are invited to express your interest in this procurement by completing the attached MARKET SURVEY and returning to the buyer, Susan Lupo, at [email protected] on or before 24 August.
