The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Leica Microsystems, Bannockburn, IL 60015, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for a Leica DMI-6000 Microinjection System. In order to maintain consistency in research and to be able to interchange parts between the Leica microscope and microinjector, this system is recommended. Attached is documentation for the specifications for this system. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
