The United States Marine Corps System Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Weapons Syustems, Quantico, Virginia intends to solicit on a Sole Source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) to Mission Information Resources (MIR), Inc. for the following product: The Leaders Tactical Marine Combat Handbook (LTCH) is a rewritable, all-weather, combat proven, small unit leader handbook with 59 two-sided, preprinted plastic pages and 10 printed and tabbed inserts (per book). It serves as both an information management tool and a rewritable/functional notebook for combat related information/actions. The LTCH will be issued to The Basic School (TBS) officer students and School of Infantry (SOI) enlisted infantry leader students. It will provide students and instructors an instructional job aid for use during the course. After graduation, it will serve as a leader’s pocket guide for small unit training and a resource during combat operations. The LTCH will be delivered in bulk as a shrink-wrapped, self-contained, individually unbound packet. MIR is the sole manufacturer of the Leaders Tactical Marine Combat Handbook. The material used and the use of the handbook is protected by US Patent No. 7,056,860. The information and art on the pages/forms are protected by US Copyright TX 6-245-105. The specifics of manufacture are also proprietary to MIR and the company will not divulge the information. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 511130.
