LINN-BENTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE LBCC ALTERNATIVE PROCUREMENT EXEMPTION--CM/GC NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) will hold a public hearing at the LBCC Albany Campus at 6500 SW Pacific Blvd, Albany, OR 97321, Purchasing Office CC-106 and also via electronic Zoom meeting at the following URL: https://linnbenton.zoom.us/j/986109 38472 at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022. The purpose of the public hearing is to take oral and written comments on LBCC's draft findings in support of an exemption from competitive bidding under ORS 279C.335 for the project known as "Agricultural Center" in Linn County of Oregon. LBCC is requesting the exemption to allow the use of an alternative procurement method known as "Construction Manag er/General Contractor (CM/GC)". The CM/GC contracting method utilizes an inte grated team approach applying modern manage ment techniques to the planning, design, pre-construction and construction phases of a project in order to control time and cost, and to assure quality for the project owner. Selection of the successful CM/GC contractor is by "Best Value", that is, of stud ying the proposing CM/GC teams and evalu ation and scoring of proposals.
