The USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station located in Asheville, NC has a requirement for a Layout Specialist. The work to be covered under the resultant Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract includes the design and layout of scientific/technical publications, including formatting tables, figures, and equations. The work is not creative graph designs but rather laying out technical writing and graphic elements per the prescribed Government report format. On occasions, the work requires the graphic designer to conceptualize, develop and design creative, unique, and content appropriated visual solutions for scientific publications. The resulting contract will be an IDIQ with a base period of 12 months and four 12 month option periods. The maximum award amount under the resultant contract will not exceed $250,000.00 over the life of the contract. Multiple awards are expected from this solicitation. This is a 100% small business set aside. No site visit is planned for this project.
The incumbents had a base plus two (2) option years and they are:
1) Cynthia Thomas of Portland, OR, awarded IDIQ Contract AG-4670-C-15-0161.
2) Virginia Ruark or Mars Hill, NC, awarded IDIQ Contract AG-4670-C-15-0162.
3) Helen Robinson of Asheville, NC, awarded IDIQ Contract AG-4670-C-15-0163.
Within these three years, there have been 22 task orders worth an average of $5,864.59 per task order. The highest task priced order awarded was $25,000.00 and the lowest priced task order awarded was $874.00.
