The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Sirchie Finger Print Laboratories, 100 Hunter Place Youngsville, NC 27596 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency needs, to procure 550 latent fingerprint kits that must contain the following:

2 standard size fiberglass brushers (Zephyr)
1 camel hair brush
1 standard magnetic applicator
1 magnifier (glass) (4",4X)
1 container of latent powder (black/2 oz)
1 container of latent powder (white/2 oz)
1 container of latent powder (magnetic - black - black/1 oz)
1 container of latent powder (magnetic - white/1oz)
1 lifting tape dispenser -2" wide
1 roll of transparent fingerprint lifting tape -2" wide
1 box hinge lifters (black) (1.5" x 2", 24 per box)
1 box hinge lifters (white) (1.5" x 2", 24 per box)
1 box hinge lifters (transparent) (1.5"x2", 24 per box)
1 pkg lifted print backing 3"x5" cards (white/100 ea)
1 pkg lifted print backing 3"x5" cards (black/100 ea)
1 Custom Carrying Case with Formed Foam Insert to hold all above contents
 

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Monday, April 12, 2010 by e-mail at [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic Representations and Certifications located at http://orca.bpn.gov/ in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) and must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database at http://www.ccr.gov.
