NASA/JSC has a requirement for a Laser Doppler Vibrometer System

NASA/JSC intends to purchase the item from Polytec Inc. The Polytec,model OFV-525/5000-S/SYS,High-speed,upgradeable single point laser Doppler vibrometer is solely selected for this requirement for use in NASA/JSC pyroshock testing. Polytec Inc is the only supplier of equipment that has the dynamic response and ability to handle high vibrational velocities necessary for the pyroshock testing being performed.

The Government intends to acquire the required item using FAR Part 12

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on June 15, 2016. Such capabilities and qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
