Robins Air Force Base( 566 EMXG unit) intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Company. This requirement is for a Dynamic Bench, Receiver Alignment Bench, and Laser Transmitter Electronics/High Voltage Power Supply Workstation (LTE/HVPS). The Dynamic Bench, Receiver Alignment Bench, and Laser Transmitter Electronics/High Voltage Power Supply Workstation is vital to the production of Laser-Transmitter Receivers that go on the LANTIRN pods and was specifically developed for the military. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304©(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." GENERAL INFORMATION: Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Company, Inc is the only source that can supply the testers. Northrop Grumman is the original equipment manufacturer and possesses all the proprietary rights for the equipment.
