The 802d Contracting Squadron at Lackland AFB, TX intends to award a Sole Source contract to Motorola, Inc., 7031 Gateway Drive 3rd Floor, Columbia, MD, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for the maintenance and repair of LMR System for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Motorola, Inc. on a sole source basis due to proprietary information protected by copyright laws and compatibility with Government-owned equipment. The NAICS Code is 811213 and the small business standard size is $7.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Proposals must be received not later than Monday, 08 August 2011, 12:00 p.m. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
