The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Lafayette Instrument, 3700 Sagamore Pkwy N., Lafayette, Indiana 47904-1066, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source Available. The FBI is requesting the purchase of Lafayette Instrument accessories for the Polygraph Program's current inventory of polygraph chairs as stated below:

60 Lafayette Active Sensor Feet LX4000/5000 (Model no. 76879F):
40 Lafayette Foot Activity Sensor Pads Wired (Model no. 76870FS): and
40 Lafayette RJ45 8-Pin Modular Couple.

Lafayette Instrument is the sole manufacturer and authorized federal vendor for these pads in the United States. There are no compatible pads available from any other manufacturer.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capabilities to respond to this requirement to this office by 10:00 A.M., EST, Thursday July 3, 2014, via email to [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. All contractors anticipating award, must be registered in the System for Award Management database.
