As part of TRIDENT II Fire Control System and Attack Weapon Control Systems tasking:

 The Contractor shall convert testing capability for four (4) VME modules from the L260 to the Spectrum 9100.  This efforrt includes the conversion of software and the development of four Interace Test Adapters (ITAs) and one Relay Switching Module.   Two copies of each ITA and six copies of the RSM will be produced.

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.  See Note 22.*****
