Notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), formerly the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract under the auspices of FAR Part 12 to VistaSource, Inc., Westboro, MA, for the software maintenance on VistaSource Applix Office Bundle software, 2,354 seats. The period of performance shall be one year, plus four one-year option periods. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties have three (3) days from the date of publication of this Synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities. Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after three (3) days or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to either conduct or not conduct this effort as a full-and-open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
