The Library of Congress requires contract support to procure additional KVM (keyboard-video-monitor) appliances for use with a KVM system. In FY17, a KVM system was procured and installed for use by the Multimedia Group (MMG). Providing centralized access to the group’s NLE workstations, working storage, and live streaming encoders. This system runs on the single mode fiber backbone solely used by MMG. The KVM system was designed, implemented and is maintained by Diversified as the system integrator. System configuration and adjustments have been coordinated with manufacturer through Diversified. All KVM transmitters and receivers associated with this system are manufactured by Guntermann & Drunck. The transmitters and receivers added to the system will allow KVM access to new servers which have been added to the MMG network within the past two calendar years.

C.2. SCOPE:
The KVM devices that will be added to the current system must be manufactured by Guntermann & Drunck, to ensure system compatibility. The KVM devices being requested are additional transmitters and receivers which will be used to access the KVM system within the new Control Room. MMG has confirmed that the current Guntermann & Drunck control frame has the capacity to support the number of additional transmitters and receivers.

C.3. REQUIREMENTS:
To accommodate KVM access within the new Control Room areas, four KVM transmitters and two KVM receivers are required.
