Request for Information

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense.  Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued.

NAVSUP FLC Norfolk-Mechanicsburg is considering entering into a sole source contract on behalf of The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) with Kongsberg Underwater Technology Inc. (KUTI) for the following:

Request Responses by Thursday 04 February 2020, 5:00pm EST. The response shall be submitted via e-mail only to the Government Point of Contract (POC): Debra O’Hagan ([email protected]). Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist. Verbal questions will NOT be accepted. The Government does not guarantee that all questions received will be answered.

We are asking for information based on the following questions, if you have additional information that would be useful in our market research you are free to provide it:

1. Are aftermarket parts that fit the Kongsberg Sonar Equipment available?
2. Are you capable in performing the requirement as a whole and are you authorized to service Kongsberg    equipment?
3. Are you capable in performing parts of this requirement?
4. Are you able to perform functions under this requirement as a Subcontractor? If so, what functions?
