This project calls for the creation of a dredge material placement site near Tilghman Island, Talbot County, MD. The site is a previously used dredge material placement site last used by the Corps in 1996. The site needs to be improved before dredged material can be placed when the Knapps Narrows Channel is dredged in the spring of 2017. Berm creation and other earthwork are required. The construction calls for raising the existing berms to an elevation of 20 feet, replacing the three existing weir boxes with new ones, and the creation of an armored overflow sill. The period of performance for this job is 120 days
