Sealed bids will be received by the City of Kennesaw City Clerk, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Avenue, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, until 3:00 EDT pm on March 3, 2023 for resurfacing of 7 streets of various lengths. The project includes furnishing all labor, material, and equipment for milling and resurfacing of 7 streets of various lengths and section of road way. The list of streets and distances are shown in the Specifications section of the bid package. Copies of the bid document may be attained by contacting the City Clerk at [email protected]. Technical questions should be addressed to Ricky Stewart at [email protected]. It is agreed the unit quantities shown in the Specifications are approximate only. The contract sum will only increase or decrease by a change in the project scope and by change order approved by the City of Kennesaw. It is further understood and agreed upon the unit prices entered on Unit Price Sheet shall apply to any increase or decrease in quantities caused by a change in project scope. The successful bidder will be notified by the City of acceptance of the bid. The successful bidder must submit an executed contract and Certificate of Insurance before a “Notice to Proceed” can be issued. Upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, the successful bidder shall begin work with the adequate force and equipment on the date specified. This project must be completed by July 31, 2023.Payment will be made to the contractor each calendar month based on the estimated work completed and in place as described by the standard specifications. Final payment of amounts withheld or deposited in escrow will not be made until the City of Kennesaw has certified the work has been satisfactorily completed and accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive formalities, re-advertise, and to reduce or add to the contract from time to time.
