A notice of intent to Sole Source Synopsis (Special Notice) is being posted on FBO to notify the public of the Governments intent to make a sole source award for the ENT Department at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This sole source award is for an upgrade to an existing Karl Storz system that the surgeon has deemed necessary for proper patient care. This award is based upon the patient's plan of care for future patients who require use of this equipment to provide acceptable standards of care. The supplies are very specific to the surgical procedures being performed and are what is required for the ENT Department to satisfy its mission at NMCP. Any deviation from the specifications of these products will increase the risk to the patient and is unacceptable to the Government. Sole Source documents are attached to special notice.
