The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Gatan, Inc. 5794 W Las Positas, Pleasanton, CA 94588, for a K2 Summit Direct Detect Camera to be installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus.

The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423490 and the business size standard is 150 employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that the K2 Summit Direct Detect Camera is the only known Direct Detect Camera with the required capabilities of a) a minimum image size of 14.4-megapixels, b) dose rate of at least 400 frames per second in electron-counting mode, c) low dose imaging for cryo-electron microscopy, d) super-resolution mode and d) high throughput data transfer mode that will satisfy the agency's requirements.
The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain a K2 Summit Direct Detect Camera from Gatan, Inc.

This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at [email protected] and are due by 1:00PM ET on July 6, 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
