Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.” The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to award a sole source contract to South Bay Cable Corporation to upgrade the OE-538 BRC Outboard Cable manufactured by South Bay Cable. South Bay Cable will be required to redesign the coaxial element to improve the flex life, to redesign the cable to improve the abrasion and cut resistance, and to redesign to prevent water migration into the cable. A firm-fixed-price type of contract under the procedures specified in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 12 and 13 will be used. No formal solicitation will be issued.
