The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Beltsville, Maryland 20705 intends to make a firm-fixed price sole source award to remove and upgrade existing defective equipment and replace with modern state of the art Westfalia-Surge Milking equipment to provide single side 6 Herringbone units complete with all necessary equipment and parts to produce milking stations for dairy research. This is a repair by replacement project. This non-competitive action is being issued by ARS, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 6.302-1(1) 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and (4) When the agency head has determined in accordance with agency’s standardization program that only specified makes and models of technical equipment and parts will satisfy the agency’s needs for additional units or replacement items, and only one source is available. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however all information received with ten(10) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
