The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide for Aircraft Transportation Services, fully contractor operated and maintained, under the direction of the Forest Service in the vicinity of Juneau and Sitka, Alaska. The requirement for the aircraft can be met by a single engine float-plane. Historically the requirement has been met by a DeHavilland DHC-2, DHC-3 and Cessna 185 aircraft. It is anticipated that the offeror may propose a single aircraft type or combination of types in response to the solicitation.
