The desired 1kW power source must, at a minimum, provide 900W of power and be classified as single-soldier portable by MIL-STD 1472. It must operate in climates from 5°C to 49°C (23°F to 120°F), at altitudes up to 8000ft and in humidity, rain, salt fog, sea spray and sand and dust environments. It must be rugged enough to support field use and transportation and provide 900W at 120VAC, 60Hz and/or 28VDC The CERDEC Power Generation Branch is interested in obtaining white papers, not exceeding 10 pages in length, describing detailed specifications and the performance of potential contractor’s current JP8 operated system. Also describe their experience in design, development, fabrication, and testing of power generation systems and their organizational capabilities in general. See attachment.
