In accordance with the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source delivery order to Basic Ordering Agreement N00421-05-G-0001 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) for the system design and development (SDD) phase of a common, autonomous airborne Sense-and-Avoid (SAA) system for Global Hawk and Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) that is scalable to medium-altitude Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS). This phase will include development, test, integration, and production of an estimated quantity of 10 Engineering Development Model (EDM) systems, and associated aircraft installation kits for the Global Hawk/BAMS UAS. NGSC is the program contractor for the design, development and manufacture of the Global Hawk UAS and the BAMS UAS. They are currently performing the operations, maintenance and support functions for GHMD, and performing the BAMS UAS SDD phase. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only.
