Notice is hereby given that the Evangeline Parish School Board will receive sealed bids from LA licensed general contractors until 2:00PM local time, Thursday, 25th JANUARY, 2018 for: JOB #2017-19 ADDITIONS & ALTERATIONS W. W. STEWART ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EVANGELINE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD Basile, LOUISIANA Bids will be accepted until the date and time specified and will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time in the office of EVANGELINE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD, 1123 TE MAMOU ROAD, VILLE PLATTE, LOUISIANA 70586. All submittal packages will be stamped or marked to acknowledge timely receipt. Sole responsibility for proper mailing or delivery of any bid in compliance with this advertisement is that of the bidder. Bids received after the date and time of opening will not be considered. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date for receipt of bids. Bidders must meet requirements of the State of Louisiana contractor=s Licensing Law R.S. 37:2151-2163. Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies and provisions, produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside of the State. Preferences provided by R.S. 38:2225 will be used if applicable. Complete bid documents may be obtained from Yeager, Watson & Associates, Inc., 808 Versailles Boulevard, Alexandria, Louisiana 71303, upon deposit of $150.00 for each set of documents. The deposit is fully refundable to all bonafide prime bidders upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than fifteen (15) days after receipt of bids.
