Amendment 0001, Questions and Answers,  Pre-Construction minutes  Site Visit sign in sheet    and revised SF1442 were issued on  4/1/2021. 

The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS) New England Region, Acquisition Branch intends to hire a construction General Contractor (GC) to construct the renovation of the 14th through 16th floors of the John F. Kennedy Federal Building on behalf of their client, the Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA), Department of Veterans Affairs.  Under the contract agreement for construction services, the GC will perform selective demolition and construction of interior renovations of approximately 52,584 USF on three floors (floors 14, 15 and 16) in five designated construction phases.

The project is located at the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Federal Building, 15 Sudbury Street, Boston, MA 02203. The project includes space for workspaces, meeting spaces, support spaces, storage, and all other spaces. 

The GC is expected to work closely with the Project Delivery Team to deliver a project that meets the expectations, needs, and specialized requirements of VBA while complying with all statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures governing the GSA capital construction program.

This procurement is a Set­ aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small (SBVOSB).

 The estimated cost is between $5,000,000 to $10,200,000.

The NAICS code is 236220.The Small Business Size standard is $36.5 MILLION.

The solicitation will be released on or about December 20, 2020 with proposals due date on or about January 19,2021.  A pre­-proposal site visit is scheduled for an estimated date of December 28,2020. The period of performance is estimated to be approximately 480 calendar days and the completion of work is anticipated to be about August 14, 2022. Technical documents will be available through the secure website via a direct link from FEDBIZOPPS. Offerors are responsible for printing the RFP and all related documents. It is also the offeror’s responsibility to monitor this site for release of the RFP, and amendments and any related information.
