The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institute, Bennettsville, South Carolina intends to make a single award to a responsible business entity for the provision of a Jewish Rabbi to provide religious instruction and pastoral leadership for Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bennettsville, South Carolina. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award will be approximately June 15, 2010. The contract period shall consist of a base period from the date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. All duties shall be performed in accordance with customs and traditions practiced in the Jewish faith. The contractor's performance shall be monitored by the Contract Monitor (CM) and the contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population form a variety of cultural, regional, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. The contractor shall be experienced as a Jewish Rabbi and must be educated by a Jewish Rabbinical School with a Master of Divinity Degree (or equivalent) and endorsed and ordained by a Jewish organization. The successful contractor shall provide Jewish Rabbi Services consistent with community standards. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 813110, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. Services will be provided for individuals who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. Yearly contract requirements include an estimated 52 one hour sessions.
