The TDCJ is soliciting bids to Replace Roofs at the Jester III Unit in Richmond, TX. This project consists of the replacement of approximately 157,750 square feet of roof with a new 22-gauge galvanized steel standing seam roof system. The work includes removal of the existing single ply membrane roof system, including rigid insulation and metal flashings, as well as underlying metal roof, insulation, and chicken wire. Damaged decking, purlins and structural components are to be repaired and existing roof penetrations, curbs, etc. are to be modified to accept the new roof system and details. Specified rooftop units and equipment are to be removed and replaced. New metal walkways, guardrails with gates and ladders are also to be installed.
