NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:

The Station/Wing Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Johnson Controls, Inc., 395 N Green Meadows Dr., Wilmington, NC, 28405-3749, (Cage Code: 7F518) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The Facilities Maintenance Department (FMD), MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract for maintenance software update and support for a period of twelve (12) months for the Metasys Energy Monitoring Control System (EMCS).  Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required service.  Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Johnson Controls, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the system. 

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

However, all quotes received within ten (10) calendar days of publication of this synopsis will be considered.  Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
