Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items with L1 Enterprises Inc. located at 618 W. Patrick St. Frederick, MD 21701. This requirement will be used for Preventive Maintenance Services on five (5) scrubEx scrub automation dispensing machines located at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). VA San Diego Healthcare System Environmental Services Department is requesting a single source procurement for the Preventive Maintenance Services on five (5) scrubEx automation dispensing machines at the VASDHS. 1. Provide a reinstatement Preventive Maintenance Service to meet coverCare requirements. 2. Provide Annual Preventive Maintenance Services following the coverCare coverage. 3. Conform to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the use of approved IPA scrubEx coverCare Preventive Maintenance Plan, which may affect the area where work will be performed. 4. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities of the IPA scrubEx scrub and linen automated dispensing machines. The proposed period of performance will be from 3/4/2020 through 3/3/2021- Base Year + four (4) Option Years. The estimated value is of $48,845.50 for the life of the contract. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Allowing contracting officers to solicit from a Single Source for procurements not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 3/4/2020. The place of performance is as follows: VA Medical Center-San Diego: Ho Samuel B MD at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811310- Computer Facilities Management Services. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector is $8.0 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.
