Statement of Work
Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC)
Printing Press Maintenance
Background: The Bath VAMC, 76 Veterans Avenue, Bath, NY 14810 is currently seeking a monthly periodic maintenance, service, and repair contract. This is a follow requirement to the existing contract for (2) each A. B. Dick offset printing presses located at the Print Shop in building 17:

The Bath VAMC Print Shop is the hub for printing actions for VISN (Veteran Integrated Service Network) 2. Due to print volumes, these devices require preventative maintenance, to ensure they continue to operate properly. Without this service, these units could fail to function, hindering the distribution of critical information for staff and veterans.
Scope of Work:
Contractor shall coordinate monthly preventative maintenance services, one week in advance with the COR, or Print Shop personnel.
Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to accomplish the task of preventative maintenance of printing presses, located at the Bath VAMC Print Shop, building 17. All parts must be OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to prevent any potential compatibility, or functional issues with existing equipment. Repairs shall be completed within 48 72 hours of service call.
Monthly preventative maintenance on each printing press shall include cleaning, lubrication, and any ordinary adjustments necessary to maintain the units in good operating condition.
Contractor is shall furnish all parts and labor to accomplish the task of onsite emergency repairs, utilizing OEM parts, to prevent any potential compatibility, or functional issues with existing equipment. Technician shall be on site within 24 hours of initial service call.
Contractor shall test the functionality of the equipment upon completion of repair. If this is a test for repair, the test should ensure that damaged parts have been successfully repaired and all functions including, but not limited to those related to repaired parts, are operational. If this is a test for a routine PM service, inspection, etc., then the test should just ensure that the equipment is functioning within the guidelines of the OEM or the applicable standards (OSHA, ASSE, JCAHO, NEFP, etc).
Upon completion of service and/or repair, technician shall provide documentation showing repair or service completed, and functionality testing must show unit/units function properly.
Technician does not have to be OEM certified, however, parts must be OEM.
Contractor shall invoice monthly in Arrears for any periodic maintenance, service and repairs performed on the A. B. Dick printing presses.
Safety Requirements
In performance of this contract, safety requirements on federal, state, and local levels must be adhered to. If any discrepancies are found during a Federal, state, or local inspection, the contractor is responsible to service and bring up to date the recommended fix to adhere to whichever guidelines were not met. Additionally, the Contracting Officer or his/her designee will notify the contractor of any noncompliance with the foregoing provisions and the action to be taken. The Contractor shall, after receipt of such notice, immediately correct the conditions to which attention has been directed. Such notice, when served on the Contractor or his/her representative at the site of the work, shall be deemed sufficient for the purpose aforesaid. If the Contractor fails or refuses to comply promptly, the Contracting Officer may issue an order stopping all and any part of the work and hold the Contractor in default.
Period of Performance
Period of Performance (P.O.P.) for this action base year is: 7/1/2021 through 6/30/2022, with the provision of four (4) Option Years. Service and Preventative Maintenance is to be performed monthly, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays as follows:

Place of performance
Work will be performed at the Bath VAMC, 76 Veterans Avenue, Building 17, 2nd Floor, Print Shop, Bath, NY 14810.
Inspection
Upon completion of the performance of preventative maintenance, or repair, Print Shop personnel will ensure the units properly function, prior to the departure of technician.
Drawings, and Other Attachments
If drawings are requested, we will provide them at the time of request, however, the technicians utilized to perform this work, should have knowledge of the printing press models discussed.

Other Related Services (Not Included in the Scope of Work)
Due to current world affairs, technicians will be required to adhere to safety requires upon the facility, to include the wearing of a face covering.
Security
The C&A (Certified and Accredited) requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation package is not required. Technicians will be escorted within the Print Shop, by Print Shop personnel.
