Page 1 of 2 Notice of Intent to Sole Source Grass Valley Service Level Agreement Software Support and Maintenance Contract-Opportunities: 36C77621Q0325 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contract Activity Central (PCAC) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Grass Valley USA, LLC, 125 Crown Point Ct, Grass Valley, Ca 95945 to provide all resources and materials necessary to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), through the Employee Education System (EES), for a software and maintenance support level agreement of existing Grass Valley video equipment. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Employee Education System (EES) Broadcast & Video (B/V) manages a video production and post-production facility in Saint Louis, Missouri, which distributes training and communications programming to VA staff and to the veteran patient community. EES utilizes Grass Valley video equipment in support of live television broadcasts and live-to-tape operations. This support level agreement (SLA) will allow EES staff to receive telephone support, hardware exchange, and the software updates needed to successfully maintain and quickly troubleshoot the Grass Valley Equipment. Although there are Grass Valley resellers, Grass Valley USA, LLC provides the support directly to the end users. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334220 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
