Background and Purpose: This requirement is for a multi-year Preventative Maintenance and Calibration on Sotax/Pharmatron AT4 and ST50 Tablet Testers in use by the NMVAHCS CSP CRPCC located at 2401 Centre Ave SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106.The VA Cooperative Studies Program in Albuquerque, New Mexico requires a service technician to travel to our facility and perform calibration and preventative maintenance on the Sotax/Pharmatron AT4 and ST50 tablet and capsule test equipment on an annual basis. Both pieces of test equipment are used to test tablets and capsules manufactured by the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS) Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CSP CRPCC) to verify they meet product specifications. These tablets and capsules are consumed by veteran participants in research projects conducted by NMVAHCS CSP CRPCC 2.General Information: Contract service shall ensure that the Test Equipment functions in conformance with the latest published edition of the applicable standards, such as: NFPA-99,UL, OSHA, VA, CDRH, etc. and the Manufacturer's Performance standards/ specifications as used when the equipment was originally procured and that any upgrades/updates will meet the stated standards/specifications. (Appendix B) The contractor, their personnel, and their subcontractors shall be subject to the Federal laws, regulations, standards, and VA Directives and Handbooks regarding information protection, patient privacy, and information system security as delineated in this contract. During contract performance, contractor may require access to VA facility, equipment, information systems, or sensitive data; to provide services, install, train, maintain or repair equipment.
