This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The Chalmers P. Wiley VAACC 420 N James Rd, Columbus, OH 43219 has a requirement for a contractor to provide Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for Reusable Medical Equipment (RME)/surgical instrumentation sharpening and repair used in the operating room and in clinical procedures. These government-owned powered and non-powered surgical instruments, extensive instruments, power dental equipment, surgical in-light camera, & rigid scope sets are to be serviced. This includes aligning, calibrating, refurbishing, cleaning, stain removal, polishing, sharpening, oiling, straightening, adjusting, replacing parts, and maintaining the equipment and assessment for replacement. The contractor shall be on-site bimonthly (twice per month) to service RME. Instruments will not be altered, changed or tampered with and shall be serviced following manufacturers original design specifications and in compliance with ANSI-AAMI ST-79 part 7.7. Instrumentation includes, but is not limited to the following: Specialty trays by service (Neuro, Ortho, ENT etc.); curettes, hemostats, scissors, graspers, laparoscopic instruments, rongeurs, dental instruments, repairing minor nicks, bents, rim alignments, remove minor burrs from containers that house the instruments, etc. In addition to surgical and dental tools. Service is required on carts (repair will be required that includes, case carts, loading carts, tables and stands), rigid scopes and annual autoclave cleaning and sanitation. The contractor will also be required to maintain a tool loaner program. The contractor shall be ISO 9001:2015 certified and all work shall be performed by Certified Medical Technicians. The NAICS Code is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business size standard of $22 million.
